Helping people meet God every day. As Scripture Union's ministry moves into the busy summer months, we ask for the prayers of all SU members and friends. May God be pleased and honored in all that we do.
Praise God for the churches in Florida (South Central Region) which have committed to hold SuperKids outreach missions there this summer. Pray for God to lead and enable the Regional Director, Brandon McGuire, as he works with those churches to bring the planned SuperKids missions to fruition.
Pray for God's provision for SU's financial needs and those of the regions this month so that the fiscal year will end (June 30) "in the black" and the extensive summer ministry can go forward on a firm financial base.
Pray for the volunteers and field staff who will begin reaching children with the Good News this month through SuperKids, that God will bless and use their efforts to enable many children to meet him in his Word. Pray especially for the efforts of the ministry teams in Pittsburgh and Dallas as they prepare new SuperKids missions in those places.
Praise God for the completion of the Matching Grant Challenge last month, the funds from which will enable a significant expansion of SU's ministry to at-risk children through PrimeTime and SuperKids.
Pray for The Rev. Dr. Roger Green, Emeritus SU Board member, whose beloved wife, Marguerite, went home to the Lord last month. Pray for God's comfort for him and his family.
Praise God for the opportunity given SU President Whitney T. Kuniholm, to be the plenary speaker at the annual convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, NY June 7-9. Pray for God's blessing on him as he prepares and speaks. Pray that God will use his messages to strengthen faith in that diocese throughout the coming months. Pray for God's blessing on the efforts of Northeast Area Director, Sonia Dobson, who will also be sharing SU at that convention.
