It's Time to Get Ready for Christmas!
This 26 day Bible reading guide will prepare you for the joyous celebration of Jesus Christ’s nativity. It is designed to start on November 30, with carefully selected Bible readings, prayers, reflection and application questions--all to help you meditate on God’s Word and prepare for the coming of the Christ child. It can be used on-line, or you can print it and put it with your Bible; you can even sign up to receive it as a daily email from November 30 to Christmas Day. This guide has 26 daily studies, ending on Christmas Day, so it is designed to start on Nov. 30. If you start later, you can go to the "Archives" section to catch up or just pick up wherever you are. Also if you download the pdf. file, you can arrange to do some "catch up" study--whichever works for you. Then, decide on a brief time and a quiet place for your daily “journey”. Begin each day’s time with prayer (one is suggested each day), asking God to open your mind and heart to his Word. Next, read the passage from your Bible, ponder the reflection and application questions and end your time with a brief prayer of thanks for something you learned from God that day. You may choose to use the suggested prayer, use one of your own or both! That’s all it takes, so when you’re ready, begin your journey to Bethlehem and meet the new born King! |
