There are millions of children left alone and unsupervised each day after school. For these children, the after school hours are dangerous times; times when they are “at risk” for getting into serious trouble. That’s why after school is the “Prime Time” for reaching these children with the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. Scripture Union and The Salvation Army are in partnership together to reach these children through PrimeTime®, the faith-based after school program created to help local churches reach unchurched children in their neighborhoods. Recently, Scripture Union and The Salvation Army began implementing PrimeTime® programs in Salvation Army facilities across the northeast.. Developed by Scripture Union and co-published by The Salvation Army, the PrimeTime® curriculum provides a complete 40 week school year syllabus. Two years of curricula are now available and a third year is currently in development. A Start-Up Manual which provides detailed help in planning and preparing an after school outreach is also available. SU offers on-site staff training and start-up support to churches interested in beginning a PrimeTime® after school outreach. For information on, or assistance in, starting a PrimeTime® program, please call the SU office at 1-800-621-LAMP or email info@scriptureunion.org. The curriculum and start-up manual may be ordered by phone or by using the links below. |
